When does the weekend start?

Wanted to ask this

Ever since a kid, I have always thought the weekend started on friday night- get home from school, get inside, that's it until monday

Plus the radio schedules change on a Friday to a weekend lineup
Also, my parents used to describe friday as the " friday feeling, the feeling you get when the weekend is here and you don't have to do anything for those three days
But what are your thoughts?

As a stay home dad. The weekend feels like Monday sometimes.
I miss the getting out of work on Friday feeling a little. I don’t miss the traffic trying to get home.

I always looked at the weekend starting on Friday night because school was out and I didn't have to
work on the weekend and sometimes we had a 3 day weekend pr longer. That's when I used to go
to concerts with my friends in high school and we would be out until 2 am. I don't think I could do
that today, I can't even stay awake until 11 pm without falling asleep on the couch.

I’m a part time worker so it all depends on when I work
In my old job my days used to always rotate
I could be working wed - frid or tue - Thu. It all depended on the person I job shared with

But in my current job I work Wed - Frid so my weekends a Friday evening and working week starts Wednesday.
