Very true! Unfortunately it only lasts about 2 weeks where I live. :(

Driven through it but didn't really slow down. I was on my way from San Diego to Georgia via Corpus Christi.

I did years ago, but not recently.

TPBM - Has been on a train bound for nowhere during a warm summer's eve.
 
I explored Europe with a backpack and a Eurail pass one summer when I was in college often without any particular destination in mind, just go until something looks interesting.
