Am I the only one that didn't know that these oils can cause seizures? I have had 2 seizures today, so far. When I began feeling better I started trying to figure out what had changed or what have I done different. The only thing I did was apply tea tree oil a few times to a skin irritation on my arm. I did a Google search on tea tree oil & seizures & it seems there are several oil that can trigger seizures just by inhaling them. Can't believe I didn't know this. I thought because they are a natural they were harmless.

nope, u r sure not alone...

maybe an interesting read for you :)

http://www.aromamedical.org/articlesarchive.html ( Advice on the safety issues of using essential oils. )

"There is no sound scientific evidence that any particular essential oils can trigger an epileptic incident. In fact it is well documented that any powerful smell can initiate such an attack. Therefore, the only general advice might be to avoid the pungent oils like camphor, eucalyptus, tea tree, rosemary, etc. On the other hand, some trials have indicated that the traditionally relaxing oils can substantially reduce the incidence of attacks."
