Question:
Would it just be easier to remember
the Brand you purchased before
to save you the trouble and time of
having to read the labels all over
again? By just writing it all down?
Some of the Brand Names have their
own websites where you can read
up on it right there at the websites
before even hitting up at your local
grocery store.
In addition:
Here's some ideas:
3 Egg Cartons (empty of course)
In First carton poke 3 holes in
bottom (using an awl - be careful
very sharp, or a pointed tip of knife
and a tiny slight twist)
Second carton - poke 3 holes in
bottom (using an awl - be careful
very sharp, or a pointed tip of knife
and a tiny slight twist) and then
put tiny rocks in them - aquarium
rocks will do just fine
Third carton leave empty, water
will rest here
Some people like to decorate the
Outside of the third carton like
spray painting, or wall painting or
being creative to look nice in kitchen
window
Place third carton on bottom
then place second carton with rocks
on top of the third carton, and then
place the first carton on top:
Now, fill first carton approximately
3/4th with potting soil, around the
rims, pack the edges with aquarium
rocks (it keeps the soil from running
over)
Plant your favorite Herb Seeds:
Example:
Chives
Basil
Peppermint
Oregano
You can clip what you need,
fresh, every day, cooking or
salad.
Works great with at least 1/2 day
Sun or if you have SHEER curtains
that's wonderful for these plants.
Too much light will actually kill them.
I always water my plants with
Miracle-Gro & Water and do not
"oversoak" - the tray on the bottom
is your "water catcher".
1st week - water every day,
and wait 2 hours and drain the
bottom tray (KEEP IN A DARK PLACE
FOR THE FIRST WEEK)
2nd week - water every other day,
but drain the water the other day.
(example water Monday, drain Tuesday,
water Weds, drain Thurs, etc)
3rd week - you should start to see
them sprout continue to follow
the 2nd week pattern.
4th week. Water in the morning ,
wait 1/2 hour, and then drain the
bottom tray. Do not worry if the soil
appears or feels "dry". Do this every
other day.
You do not want Root Rot or Soggy
Soil!
Hope this helps especially for Apartment
Dwellers and Tight Spaces!
