Has anyone had any problem switching from name brand Depakote to generic? My daughter is 15 months seizure free on name brand Depakote. Our new insurance company only covers generic. I am nervous about her making the switch to generic and most likely will pay out of pocket for her to stay on the name brand.

I take Dilantin rather than Depakote but I am very aware of the differences between brand name & generic drugs which is why I will never take a generic. You might want to check out Depakote Savings Program

Hoping for all the best for your daughter.

I've tried a couple generic drugs that just caused trouble. I have to play it safe and use brand name. I hope everything turns out well for your daughter.
