Got a neurology appointment on saturday at 9.00am. About time don't you think neurology.

No they weaned me off tegretol as I hadn't had a seizure for over 7 years, did well no seizures for 2 years until the end of october then bang I had one of my tonic clonic seizures. I started tegretol again right meds wrong release I got fast release instead of slow release. Then went to dermatology to be told as my lupus had flares to consider stopping carbamazepine as it was causing carbamazepine induced lupus so stopped that. He said it is a known fact carbamazepine is well known for causing medication induced lupus. Don't know what anti seizure meds they will put me on but hopefully not keppra.

Good luck! I'm going in on Monday for video eeg. Coming home on Wed and Thursday leaving for trip to NYC.
My neuro called yesterday to reschedule follow-up appt. (he made) for Dec. 28. This is not the first time he's done this to me.
