okay we are here at dorenbecher children's hospital for our three day stay! hope it goes well...we are all hooked up and good to go the screen keeps popping up xl spike though anyone know what that means?

"XL Spikes" and "XL Events" are just very general terms produced by the EEG machine. You'll probably see tons of the spikes, which can happen for all sorts of benign reasons. When the neuro gets the data, he will look it over, and will know the difference between a normal spike and an abnormal spike.
