30 days in hospital...

30 days in hospital, nothing seemed to be beneficial for me, and they send me home not feeling well at all. They checked seizures, lowered medication to see if they got worse... yes they did. Now being back home more seizures coming than before I went. No worse or stronger, just more frequent. One really has to wonder some times just why a hospital trip makes seizures worse than when we went... something seems backwards.

Hopefully they can see if adjustments in your medication doses will help, or if an old medication needs to be dropped & a new one should be added.

Interesting. I had asked if we could move on to a newer medication, to replace the one they have had me on for 25+ years. Shoot, the brain surgeries didn't work, nor has all the meds they have tried to make my second, the main not working for all these years. And when they sent me back home, I still take all the same medications, just a bit of increases to the maxes. Sabbo, "old medication needs to be dropped & a new one should be added," was a great suggestion; you need to meet my neuro doctor and help him out

Bernard, no I am not new. Been hanging out here since 2013. I have read more books on epilepsy, brain surgeries plus/minus, and a couple books dealing with ones brain after surgeries for epileptic seizures. I'll look into support this forum again and see just if it has changed from my last time there

I remember. I meant you were in the hospital for 30 days. That's a long hospital stay.

I was in the hospital for 3 wks. and finally after my Dr. did a DNA test on me he found the med I was talking
wasn't helping me at all so he put me on a new one and then we spoke about having brain surgery done
and since I had surgery done it reduced my seizures from 300 a yr. down to 42 seizures last yr. so it was well
worth it.
