They wont they really reluctent to start meds and Im so fed up with going hospital all they do is admit me and have me on 15min ob's ... Im scared...alone... And really fed up with it

Why are you up at this Time ... Must of had a bad night too ?

Bit of a rough evening. Now I'm just relaxing and listening to lovely music. :)
Why so reluctant to start medication? Is it because of the British healthcare system, or is it just your neurologist?

Bit of both the health system and my neurologist Im just laying in bed trying to get my legs to do what i want them to do :( ....

Bit my tongue again on top of the previous bite :+( so Thats mega sore :( Bleh cant be bothered bout to give up with it all :'( :'(

Don't give up!
I know you'll make it through this sweets... just gotta keep your head up and stick with it... you'll have relief soon. :)
I know it's hard, but you can't let yourself get down in that rut :)
Tongues heal, pride gets restored, confidence comes back, and fears go away. It just takes time and a good attitude. :)

jadye,

How is your sleep pattern? Sleeping to long or to short?

Could it be that your blood sugar level is falling low at night....?
My Son has morning T/C (and more) and he does take meds but to make sure his blood sugar does not plummet at night he always has tea and toast or a cracker (neither sweet) when he takes his last med dosage s before bed (around 22:30/23:30)

How is your overall nutrition?
On top of his meds, my Son also takes fish oil, vitamin D @ E, Vitamin B Complex...
And lots of the CWE crew use Magnesium...

If you have to wait to see neurologist, your own doc could in the meantime check your blood for glucose levels, mineral and vitamin deficiencies

Take note of every seizure (seizure dairy) and keep full record of seizures, it will help you in the future to look back and analyze and it will also help you when you see a neurologist.

I eat peanut butter on toast before bed every night ... Suggestion from silat about blood sugar to and yes my sleep pattern is all messed up .... As i wake to a t/c each morning then sleep through the day get up for supper then go bed at about 10:30pm then sleep all the way through get woken at 6:am or somewhere round that with a partial that always goes into a t/c each morning :(

hey :) thanks for asking chaz ... im feeling a bit better a day now without a T/C so thats good for me but im having an increase of absences through the day which isnt normal for me at all but i can deal with a few missing 30 second slots rather than a full on T/C and end up sleeping the whole day away trying to recover so yes ! im feeling alot better ....

it wouldnt suprise me if im due on my period any time and that could possibly why ive been havin the back T/C's this week,

as ive mentioned to a friend on here whenever i get my period i usually get a really bad T/C and end up hospitalised but thankfully i dont get a period every month due to PCOS

But yea thanks for asking :D

jade xx

Jayde, since you know you have PCOS is your gyn/ob have you any sort of hormone regimin to regulate your cycle? I too have T/C's that are only triggered by my monthly cycle. in fact I only have seizures when I am on my period. A lot of neuros are not seeing the hormone connection I recently started taking my basal body temp in the mornings in addition to see if i was having constant temps or not as this can be a signal of low levels of hormones figure if i can see a pattern i can then present them to my doctors so that way they can then run further tests the next time I go in. Right now I have been seizure free for 6 months without any modifications to my medications this is the longest i have been in 4 years since diagnosis before that it was a med readjust about every 3 months. sometimes not even 2 months i have avereaged about 2-3 hospitazations a year for the past 4 years every eeg, mri,ct scan I have had has come up clear, I am going to seek help at another hosptial in either Tampa or Jacksonville since there is not a level 4 center here in Orlando that deals with adults. it deals only with children. right now I am on a regiman of Topamax 200 mgs 2x a day, Keppra 1500mgs 2xs a day, lisonopril 10mgs 1x a day, and nueva ring(birth control) to regulate cycle. This has really helped me. Still waiting to hear which doctors will take me first.

Tina

Jayde,

SO glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.

This is definitely something to record (in your dairy) and tell the neurologist on your upcoming visit....cannot stress how important it is to keep a dairy and note everything, sometimes it can speak for you (quick look back at notes helps you remember or can help doc follow a pattern).

Some women with E are very sensitive to hormonal changes, it’s called catamenial epilepsy.

tinasthegirl has found a therapy that has helped (great tina!) An appointment wth a gyn/ob may help..
