Im home from the Interview I had today! I think it went pretty good!
Its at a middle school, which has grades 6-8. If I get the position, I will be with special education students. Its a 4.5 hour shift each day. The hours are 10am - 3pm. which includes my lunch break.
The two ladies doing the interviews, which are for today and tomorrow, said they are needing this position filled ASAP.
They asked alot of good questions, and this time, they wanted to know alot about me. Where as the other two interviews Ive had, which were with other schools, didnt really get into your personal stuff. But I was glad to tell them about myself and my family!
I told them about how much I enjoyed working at our local YMCA child care center, and how Id like to get back into the "Kids" area. Ive supervised middle school kids during my time at the YMCA and enjoyed it. They said they had myself and another interview today, and then two more interviews for tomorrow. But said they would get in touch with me after they are all done.
The gal was really nice! We talked about the hours... My kids get dropped off at school at 7:45am. Which is no problem since if I do get this job, I wont have to be there til alittle before 10am. But the kids get out of school at 2:53pm, and my shift doesnt end til 3pm. But my husband has Monday and Tuesday off, so those days I wouldnt have to worry about. My husband's shift is 6am to 2pm. He normally gets home around 2:30ish... so he could pick up on those days. But in a rare occassion, he might be running late if the second shift guy doesnt get there in time. But the school where my kids go to, the office there said we can always give them a call to let them know we will be running late. They wouldnt mind since they have alot of parents who work during the day and have kids picked up alittle after the dismissal time.
Plus, they also have a after school program we can look into, if need be. But my husband says he doesnt think it would be a problem with him picking up the kids from school.
So, for now... I wait! It would be nice to get this job!
