Question for better understanding of 5 minute plus seizures...
I have read of many who deal with seizures that last over 5 minutes and I guess it is a different type than what I deal with. Here in the last few months my seizures have woken up (back to my time prior to the surgery life)
onder:
And a couple times I have have had two seizures back to back where in between there is that not so thrilling recovery mode, but each of my seizures are almost always 1-3 minutes, rare to head towards 5 minutes. I tell my doctor and neurologist this and their reply has always been, "if you have a seizure more than 5 minutes time, you need to get to the hospital."
My question here is, just what is it with me that worries my dr and neurologist via seizure time, is it the type of seizure or the norm in which I deal with one?
Merely curiosity on my part here. I doubt, or seriously hope I will not ever have one 5+ minutes.
