evidently I had a strong one in my sleep. It woke me up and i started walking around, stumbling, falling on stuff right after. My girlfriend, who is the most amazing person, got up and assisted me by supporting me from falling.
. I forced my way downstairs in a dizzy state for water. She stayed with me to get back to sleep. I wake 4 hours later with a splitting headache. I took aspirin and several coffees (with her help.) and its getting better. I was told it was about 4 minutes long. She was able to keep me from rolling out of bed on to a hard platform and floor, said i was solid tense all over.
I asked my housemate if i woke him up, yes. He said this is the third one in the last couple weeks. He has heard me flopping around on the floor in my room, and another time he watched me in the living room. What scares me is that i have no memory of these. I kind of recall last night, IT SUCKED.
Anyone else stumble around in a dizzy state in Post-ictal? Anyone get bad headaches from these 'internal, psychic dances' i sometimes call them.

Did i forget to say this is a girlfriend you just don't meet every day. She is a keeper!

ahhhh, flopping around and have no memory, nice run-of-the-mill tonic clonic. as far as stumbling around after, my guess is it was way too soon from when you woke up (our poor bodies :(). if i tried doing that after i'd be stumbling all over the place too. oh, wait :ponder: i have tried a few times and that's what happened. hi wall!
my 'famous' t.c. (reason being it was an mri after this one that found a life-long lesion) brought a whopping, almost undescribable headache after. had slept almost an hour, woke up and realized after smashing my head on a tile floor repeatedly it would be weird not to have one.

I don't remember anything about the tonic clonics I have had, but I sure remember feeling out of it and headachey and spacey for days after. I had a few big complex partials in the past several days which were out of the ordinary for me, and frankly they kind of scared me a little, and that's saying something after the thousands and thousands I have had over the last 30 years. Maybe it's alien rays from space causing seizures! Time to get out the tinfoil hats!!
I hope you're feeling better soon! Go on a bike ride when you feel up to it. I will, too. Good for the soul.

I've decided there are some weird solar flares or something (I think I'm kidding). It seems like everyone is having unusually bad seizures lately, me included. We had a guy at work this week have a TC, and he said he had no history of epilepsy. I had my first CP since last year, that had these after shocks for like an hour and a half. What's up with all of this?!

NOT ALL OF US! PLEASE! But I am sorry for those who have had bad ones lately. Been there, myself.

I LOVE it! I have started collecting hub-caps from roadsides intending to cover my entire roof with them. I tell people I am doing it for protection from alien rays. Oly some know i am not serious.

Hub caps would probably be as effective, or more, than aluminum foil! And already hat-shaped so you could use them on the roof and on your head, too. Send me a couple!

Onward!

OK well I just learned the guy at work with the seizure apparently had a virus and that caused the seizure, and he will be back next week. What kind of VIRUS causes a seizure? All I know of is encephalitis, unless you are an infant. That said, maybe we all have viruses and will be cured tomorrow. I'm ready. How about you?

I started having seizures after brain damage from Meningitis Manginococol meningitis. However you spell it. A virus in the spinal fluid.

This guy though is expected back Monday, so only out a week. I assume it took you longer to recover? Sorry about your Meningitis :-(

I've read that seizures can become worse with change of seasons, esp. transitioning from Winter to Spring (more or less where we in the northern hemisphere are now) and also - but less pronounced - from Summer to Fall. I don't know the reasoning behind this, however. Any one have ideas?

Ok above I joked about solar flares--I was just reading the news and we've been having the biggest solar flares of all time in late April and early May (awesome photos online). I was kidding above and still don't think they are causing all our seizures but since I joked about it and it just happens they have been particularly intense since we've been having this thread I had to say something :-)
