Really not a big whoop, but here I am. I'm very fortunate to have the medical support I'm receiving.

I have what should be a positive follow up appointment with my neuro doctor. They always have you complete an online questionnaire. Asking the same questions every time. Mostly reviewing the past few months. How many seizures? Have you missed any doses of your medication? Have you wanted to harm yourself or others? How satisfied are you with your quality of life? Quite a few more questions that will really make you think. Then a review of all your meds, confirm follow up tests and appointments, confirm pharmacy, etc....
My insurance company will call me as a follow up service. They rehash the entire thing over the phone. I received a call the day after I completed the Doctor's questions. I spoke with a very nice woman for about 20 minutes. They always try to be helpful by giving me tips to protect myself at home. I was once again reminded to be sensible about where I place my nightstand next to my bed. Sorry, but I've had over 100 nocturnal seizures. I'm good with the nightstand.
Not much of a rant. It was just coincidence I had to go through it twice in only a couple days. Can't get it out of my head, so here I am.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day.

I understand what you are saying. Repeating the same thing over and over again to different people from the (supposedly) same company gets to be annoying. Our insurance would have a nurse call every month asking how I was doing--seizures, general things, etc. Then they switched it to every 3 months, but recently whenever they've called something funny has happened. After I've verified who I am, the phone has gone dead when they're in process of transferring to a nurse.

I’ve been doing really well since my surgery last March.
Answering all the questions can remind me and emphasize my illness in my thoughts.
There is a reason I’m getting asked these questions every 3 to 6 months. The damage from all my seizures and the large amount of medication I’m taking. It’s frightening knowing that you only have so much control over your own thoughts.

Before each neuro-specialist appointment there is a form I can fill out online as my check-in so they can see what's happening. The form asks basic information about me so they can pull up the medical chart then also asks if there are any updates of new medications I have started or ended that are needed to make note of. Another question asked is about the two pharmacies on campus so it's a simple matter to always just pick one. Otherwise, just confirm then send.

I have everything saved on my smart phone for activity so that always goes in with me to show neuro-specialist.
