Abnormal EEG

If this were QI, there'd be alarms going off, and a huge black and white "Abnornal EEG" flashing 
Many of us have very similar EEGs, mine sounds exactly the same as well- they know it's definitely odd, but it never actually proved it was E (not that they needed to).

I hope I have written this in the correct place.
Last year I had an EEG. The results came back as abnormal but not showing anything as being seizure activity. Has anyone else been through this, or something similar?

Did your doctor say specifically what was abnormal about it? There are many different things that can show up on an EEG to make it abnormal. Some of those are "the norm" within a percentage of the population, and some of them point towards epilepsy (Ie epileptiform abnormalities). They have never seen my daughter have an actual seizure on her EEG, but they have seen "epileptiform abnormalities in the form of sharp waves" on her EEG on most of them and that aparently means she is more prone to having seizures than the average person without those abnormalities.

Epileptiform was the word I was trying to remember. It was written on the report as not being present. So abnormal but not epileptiform. The doc wasn't that helpful when I asked why it was. I fully expected it to show E because the EEGs when I was a teenager pointed towards complex partials.
The one thing I would rather not go through is a battle between whether they are E or non E from different professionals. In 2012 some were stating non epileptic but I have gone on to have more.

I've never had a normal EEG it doesn't matter if I've had a seizure or not , my EEG's have always been abnormal.
