Recently, I decided to start documenting these episodes via webcam. Last night, I recorded a little over 2 hours of me sitting in front of the computer. Since these episodes mainly happen at night, I turned on my webcam and started recording. Long story short, after recording for over 2 hours I turned it off and went to bed. I had caught a total of 5 episodes in the course of a 2 hour recording session.

Each and every episode lasted seconds. And I mean, SECONDS. Literally seconds. It's interesting how fast they came and they went. Seconds of jerking, head shaking, involuntary lip pouting, weird eye movements(widening eyes),etc.

I don't know what to think of this. I am thinking that this documentation will help in finding out what these things really are or atleast give some idea of what they are. As of now, I am just keeping an eye on it and hoping I can get some answers.
 
It's a great idea to use the webcam to video your symptoms. Were you aware that the they were going on?
 
Yeah, I am aware of what's going on the entire time. There's only been a handful where I have not been aware or have no idea of what is going on. Some have said it sounds like I am dealing with both absent and simple partials but it's unclear.
 
The ones that you're unaware of might also be complex partials, since those can involve facial movements.
 
After I gather all the footage together, I may post it here and get some more input. Right now, I am just keeping an eye out on it with recording and what not. I am hoping that by showing this to the neuro, this will help my diagnosis instead of me just describing. Because even though I may describe these feelings, it's just my word and in a lot of cases, that is not enough. I need actual evidence.
 
Video was a big influence in my diagnosis and keeping my leveled on my medicine. All my video was done via video EEG. I can't stand to watch myself have a seizure. Creepy...

I would have to agree with N Sperlo on this one.. I don't think I would be strong enough to watch a video of myself having a seizure :( Kudos to you though! Its great that you got some evidence! :clap:
