Excellent! It's great to have good advocates and loyal companions...

It is.

I'm especially excited about getting Sophie trained. They're coming so often and unpredictably that I'm afraid to leave the house on my own.....

Do seizures show up on MRIs? Because I think I had an episode in the machine, which would be convenient.

Well whenever you have an EEG, if you experience the same type of thing that you believe to be a fit, then it will show up on the EEG. MRIs show types of physical abnormalities in the brain

I am new to this forum and just read your email. I also have a brain tumor went into remission and when it came back so came the seizures. Funny thing is when I was first dx, I was only 32, twenty years ago, my only child now has her masters and is teaching in South Africa, I remember she was in the room when my neuro whom was a woman turned to me with tears in her eyes and broke me the news. I went on interferon's and a whole cocktail of lovely drugs. I stopped all the treatments and I thought I was in remission but some strange symptoms started to show up. i told my primary doctor at the time that something was wrong, now my doctor has full knoweledge of my history and said I was fine, it was only when I went to this new VA clinic and within a month bingo, there it was, this neruo took one look came and told me I am back on interferons, but now I am having seizure problems the last time I did chemo I was toxic on diltan and the day I did that chemo I had two grand mals, so I am really scared to say the least. Now my first symptoms of my brain tumor was never seizures, the docs tell me it depends on where the little sh*t hides, you have no idea what is going on. My first symptoms was numbness in my left side, and it got so bad I had no control of my body on my left side, this is when I was an aerobic instructor. Now the funny part, when it came back full on I was up to running 5 miles a day, strict diet, so you can see what good that did. lol You keep telling the doctors if you feel strange or not right, trust me, don't let things slide.

Oh wow I would love to compare notes with you, how long have you been sick? I thought I was in remission, my bad, I am just so sad to have to go through this hell. Thanks for letting me know I am not alone. Do they give you that nasty interferon stuff, I so hate that, I won't give myserlf a shot until I am ok in this area.

i actually had both of my mine removed at Johns Hopkins. One in 1998 and one in 2005. I know exactly how you feel though. They are nasty. I was never put on anything, and i never had to go through any kind of chemo

P.S. Just ftr, I don't believe I'm epileptic... my PCP is being very clear that I shouldn't latch onto that, and I'm doing my best. It's just that it's the only thing we can think of, hence all the tests.

I can't see the neurologist soon enough.... :(

So I finally saw the neurologist. She thinks it's atypical migraines, but she also said that was a "wastebasket diagnosis" that could only be confirmed by a process of elimination. So, she recommended I see a cardiologist for a full workup, and set me up with an EEG. Waiting to hear back on both.
