I have been called in to have my ambulatory EEG tomorrow - someone canceled
I'm thrilled, as I have been holding off from making any medication changes until I have it done. I have had standard EEG's as well as an inpatient VEEG before so know the general drill BUT: it is very hot here, and unrealistic to sleep with even a sheet sometimes. I recall from the vEEG that the connector box you have to have with you at all times can get quite warm, and given our current weather the last thing I need is the equivalent of a heating pad with me in bed making me restless since the nighttime (sleep) EEG recordings are what the neurologist is primarily after. Suggestions from anyone who has had an ambulatory EEG would be very much appreciated!
