Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our 8th anniversary.
Still pretty new to the marriage scene considering others testaments to time!

For our gifts we always follow the traditional gift suggestions.
1=paper
2=cotton
3=leather
4=linen
5=wood
6=iron
7=wool
8=bronze
What the heck do I get him for a bronze gift that isn't a statue???
Well, I got him this bronze rain gauge in the shape of a mushroom.
Quirky, but so is he. I am too.
He got me bronze coloured earrings and a makeup bronzer powder.

He said he was going to get me this bronze sun dial that said carpe diem on it because it was pretty funny.
What do you mean it was funny? I asked.
You know, he said...carpe diem, seize the day?
Ohhhhhhhhhh. Ha ha. I get it. Hope this doesn't offend anybody.

That's very sweet. At least he didn't get you a pair of cymbals! (Almost all cymbals are made from a bronze alloy.)
