Another seizure...

last night at 1am I woke up to another seizure. I hate these freaking things. I hate the feeling I get before, during and how I feel afterwords.
My mom came by to help with getting the kids to school this morning. I went back to her house, and Im here at my mom's til she is off of work.
I have to check in my husband for him to make sure he can pick the kids up from school today.


I just am praying and hoping these stop. Its been 6 days since Ive been back on the name brand keppra xr. Im hoping with alittle more time, things will get better and the seizures will stop.

I'm sorry to hear that you started having seizures. I hope with getting off the generic Keppra it won't take much longer for your seizures to stop.

Well, my day has been the usual... trying to get this headache to go away, feeling like im in slow motion through out the day...

I left a message for my neurologist's office about getting ativan on hand til my level of the name brand keppra xr gets to where it needs to be, so I wont have seizures no more. I have 1 ativan on hand, and thats from a bottle dated in 2011, when I was dx;d with bronchitis and was given Hydrocodone for it, which resulted in seizures occuring. my primary care drs office gave me a prescription for .5mg tablets of ativan. So I had those on hand for when the seizures came up this past weekend.

But get this....

I give my neuro's office a call this morning to ask about having more on hand, because the last thing I want to do is not have anything here if a seizure happens again!

I get a voicemail from the nurse, saying my neurologist says he will NOT prescribe me the ativan and he says whoever gave me the ativan last year... I can go back to them who gave it to me for..."Anxiety!".....

Seriously? You call giving me hydrocordone for bronchitis, resulting in seizures, "Anxiety"?

OMG. Im so freaking done with this office. Here I am taking OLD ativan from last year given to me, and they think I have anxiety!? If I had anxiety, I would have downloaded that bottle last year! I didnt touch that bottle since I last had a seizure in November 2011!

To top it off, nothing is showing up on the online pharmacy for the name brand keppra xr that she sent over monday morning. I have 8 days left of the name brand. Then Im screwed. No ativan to help with seizures. NOTHING.

Man, it seems like you're having a run of bad luck. I hope the pharmacy can expedite the Keppra order for you, or at least give you a partial if there are delays.

So far, its still not showing up online. The nurse claims she sent it over on monday at around noon. The online pharmacy said it can take up to 48 hours to get processed and show up in their system. I checked earlier today and it still hasnt shown up.

I cant get a partial since my insurance only allows one prescription to go through, and this prescription is for a 6 month supply. So I guess I;ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Nothing worse then a nocturnal seizures. Or waking up getting an aura and then BAM. I would rather deal with that in the day.

Im still tired, sluggish, with the headaches... Ive been having the gerd for a few days now... my dr (primary care) said its probably from the stress of the seizures it has on my body. Told me to rest, try to take it easy. In the meantime, Ive been watching tv, resting.. today and yesterday Ive felt so darn tired through out the day. If I didnt have anything to do, I probably would have stayed in bed all through out the day.
