Hi Guys
I just started a new drug, Lacosamide/Vimpat only 50mg pm. I am experiencing what I think from reading up on it is a condition called Nystagmus, which can be triggered by certain anti convulsants, Phenytoin in particular. It's an involuntary movement of the eyes, or "dancing eyes" as it was described.I blink constantly when I'm reading, watching tv, or using the computer, basically, whenever my eyes are exposed to bright light, I am sleeping ok, and it doesn't happen a) when my eyes are closed and b) when I'm on the move, walking about doing stuff. It's driving me crazy! I don't normally look up side effects with new drugs as we are all so unique, these AED's effect us all differently, but I had to look. I would so appreciate your feedback guys, and put my mind at rest, has anyone else had this??!! I don't mean this to sound horrible, but I hope someone can say that they have or are having it too, and I'm not suffering with something more sinister?!?! X
