...witnessed their seizures?

I just got married back in October, had dated my husband for 3 years prior, and not once has he ever seen me seizure. He's been there after I seizured (in the ER, etc...), but never while it was happening. My neighbors, on the other hand, have witnessed several. Just thought it was weird and had to ask.

This past September I would have been married for 4 years, and together with my ex for 6 years total, we've been divorced for a year now. My migraines have since been "blamed" on nocturnal seizures. He never said a word to me about anything that ever might have happened, yet my best friend said I pulled her across the bed the other night after I fell asleep and she was up watching a movie. She couldn't get her leg out from in between my legs for about 3 minutes. So either my wasbund was an extremely heavy sleeper or he may not have been paying attention. I've had migraines for over 10 years now.

My husband I have been married for almost 8 years now. Just this year when I had my first VEEG, did he get to see me have a seizure. My seizures had been pretty well under controlled for a number of years... since around 2000-2001. We met in July 2001. Since then, Ive had a few during the night, after having a baby, and being sleep deprived. Or else when he is at work, Ive had a couple where I immediately knew what happened, and called my mom. My husband works for the state and when it comes to getting in touch with him, it can be kind of hard. Especially in emergencies, he has to wait for a person to replace him before leaving.

But once my husband saw me having a seizure in the hospital, I saw a look on his face like he was scared, and got nervous. He said he never had seen me have a seizure, but knew what it would look like based off of seeing others have them where he works, or videos off of youtube, etc.

Glad I'm not alone...I was beginning to wonder. My husband is a sound sleeper for sure, so it's possible, since a lot of my seizures were occurring in my sleep, that neither one of us were aware, but I also never remember waking up confused (evidence of a full-blown seizure for me), while he was lying next to me. Definitely weird.

I had only been married for a few weeks. My seizures at that time was a grand mal. I don't remember a thing, but my NEW husband woke me and said I looked weird and was acting weird also, --he had never seen someone have a seizure before. --- I saw the fear in his face.
Being newly married, I just told him he looked and acted weird too. --now silly of me--

He took me to the Dr. in our small town the next day, was then refer to a Neur. in Atlanta where I was diagnosed, I was 19 years old.

Since then he has seen me when I have seizures. He has seen the side effects of the medications, which he thinks is the worse.

My seizures have changed many times over the years for some reason. I'm guessing it's the medic.

Now we have been married for 41 years.

A little over 2 weeks when my husband and I started dating I had my first seizure infront of him and even ended up in the er. That was 8 years ago and he's still around.

My husband is the same way! He can put his head on his pillow and be out in 2 minutes! Me on the other hand, Im a light sleeper.

Rebecca's dad never saw a seizure. They happened during the day most of the time, when she was at school. She did have a few at the ice rink, but he was not there. Only after the fact. I saw a few, because I raced to the school when I got the call.
The very first one freaked me out. I was ignorant as to what was happening.

I have been with my husband for 7 years (Married for 3) and he had not seen me have a seizure until this past October. I think he did not think they were all that "serious" because he never saw me have one. I had two in one day in October (never happened before). When I got out of the hospital from the first one, I had another tonic/clonic that evening. Apparently he held me through the seizure and a bit afterwards. I did not even realize I had had a seizure until the next morning. I was talking about almost having a seizure the night before and he looked at me like I was nuts and said I had had a seizure. He has been pretty good since (do you need anything? let me get that. I'll cook dinner since your so tired., etc.). He will see one of your seizures eventually. It might really scare him though when he does.

Good luck!
