Anyone else get this? What is it?

Random question. So you know how if you were to look at a bright light and then look away you see a coloured dot in the shape of the light you were looking at (i think its called an afterimage?)? Does anyone get those but you have not been looking at any lights? I notice that sometimes before I have one of my bad episodes I'll get a bunch of these 'afterimage' like blobs. They only last a few to 10 seconds. Seizure related?

I've had this happen to me even if I don't look at a bright light it may just be certain bright colors I see when watching tv or flashing lights like a strobe light. This is called "photosentive" which means that certain colors or flashing lights can trigger seizures for a person. I used to have that problem a lot until I had brain surgery done and then it ended. Before that my neuro did a special e.e.g. and flashed different color lights one at a time and found out what colors bothered me the most and were triggering seizures. You may want to ask your neuro to do this special e.e.g. if you notice you are starting to have any form of seizure after looking at the bright light. Similar kinds of visual disturbances can happen with both migraines and seizures. Since you've noticed it before an episode, it's likely that it's part of the seizure process.
