Hello there!! I've only been on here about a week or so, everyone is sooo nice and helpful so I thought I'd come in here and ask something. I have had seizures for about 2 years now so I'm still learning.....well last night I had a seizure(a lot of mine happen during the night....awful!!) anyways I did something new this time...I was in full swing or should I say full shake(lol) when my husband said I started to do these short screaming bursts along with the shaking. I was kind of dumbfounded, I had never done this nor heard of it before. Has anyone else ever experienced this or heard of someone doing it?? Thanks a lot guys! Love, Brinlee:rock:

It is possible that it could be a contraction of your diaphragm. For some this happens as they fall from an upright position.

It can happen. Especially I know about the screaming. I have done that before alot during my seizures.

Brinlee,

During my complex partial seizures in the past, I was told by others on numerous occasions how I would have bursts of loud screams, but had no memory of what occurred.

I've never heard of anyone being verbal during a tonic clonic seizure, but it can happen with complex partial seizures.

Yes, I've

heard of it, and Robin's right. It's a contraction of the diaphraghm. Basically your body just can't seem to get the hang of what it SHOULD be doing, and this will happen occasionally. For some people more than others. There really isn't anything that you can do about it....

Brinlee -- I had only the complex partials and never made a sound --- EXCEPT that one terrible time that I've talked about before ~blush~blush~
I had that seizure in the Officers Club while talking to ............
Oh well, I embarrassed myself more than anyone can imagine. Maybe 17-18 years ago and I'm STILL not over it.

I do. I do it durring my nocturnal sleep. You could even be dreaming at the time and then going into a siezure. Or Myoclonic noturnal siezures and have little screams. I have many types of siezures. Have you been monitored for nocturnal (nite time) siezures. Talk to the doc . If He wont listen, move on to somebody who will. I hate nocturnal siezures. They suck.
