Hoping to get some first hand input about this drug. I've read the package inserts from the manufacturers website and the other various web md sites but if you are on this drug I wanna hear what you have to say and hear about your experiences. This drug is an option my doc is talking about for my seizures.

Hi-ya! I'm on Pregabalin 125mg am, 125mg noon and 200mg night time. I have been taking the meds for over a year. It was to replace Clonazepam which is a benzo (drs. don't like you to be on benzos for too long but I have manage to stay on 0.5mg at noon).

I also take Tegretol, 200mg am and 600mg night time. I suffer from severe anxiety so I must admit that I prefer Clonazepam to Pregabalin but I have no choice in the matter. The Pregabalin (with the other meds) has decreased my seizures, but I find that it is subtle regarding my anxiety. I have put on 3 stones since starting Pregabalin. I feel awful in the mornings on wakening - it takes two hours plus for my am dose to settle my anxiety. On Pregabalin I suffer fatigue and lethargy but my seizures are decreased.
:)

I'm so glad to have some input here. Pregabalin is not yet FDA approved in the USA for use with my seizures (generalized tonic clonic). And I see you are from the UK where it's been in use for several years. I'm glad you are not experiencing any life threatening or permanent side effects. I always feel awful in the morning and fatigue throughout the day it's become part of the territory. It is a double blind off label study (as I understand it) that I may be entering those always make me a little nervous. When it comes to being a lab rat I'm not sure if I want the pills or the placebo. It is comforting to hear from you nicholas, thank you I hope I have the seizure reduction just like you.
