With all the wonderful laundry list of disorders I get to experience, I have finally been sent to a pain management doctor. He put me on morphine about 3 months ago. WOOT! WOOT! :woot:

I can function better but morphine does not work on fibromyalgia. So when I saw him on Tuesday we discussed treatment. He's replaced my Effexor with Cymbalta. I've been reading patients responses and from what I can tell, it has a 50/50 chance of performing as advertised.

Has anyone here taken Cymbalta with Dilantin? Any problems? So far the stuff has killed my appetite and causes my eyes to cross.

Cymbalta gave me double, blurred vision. I didn't take it with Dilantin, but Dilantin alone made me a walking, talking zombie. My hair fell out and I got galloping gum rot. :-(

I took Dilantin starting in 2001 to 2005 so I know what effects to expect. My concern is the two together. Blurred vision is a natural for me. Between the cocktail of medications and cataracts I consider myself lucky to still be able to see. I have noticed that my left eye crosses when I am tired.
Did you have problems with nausea and vomiting? I got hit with a heaving session while on the phone to someone with a weak stomach! Oh yuck!

I take Cymbalta and Lyrical with Keppra...my pain management doctor has me on these along with hyrdocodone and oxticoden. It seems to help a lot and no side effects from these with my Keppra.

I take Dilatin plus Cymbalta. Cymbalta does not work for me as advertised. Cymbalta zombifies me. Dilantin makes that worse.

I have tried it without any e- meds and had what appeared to be a really nasty seizure on it not a grandmal thouh like a seriously long complex partial or something- I was only on it 3 days-I have been afraid to try any ssri's since
