Woke up to a fine morning. Only thing I noticed was I had been sweating during the night. Got my morning coffe, my breakfast and then BOOM!

I have reduced my meds to a maintanance dosis because of odd blood vessles popping up here and there on my skin. I will consult a doctor about it on friday.

The seizures were very odd... It felt as if they were mostly bodily, not so much in my head. I had the usual "quick rising faint feeling/dizzy spell" to my head - but the muscle twitches and the jerks were horrible. I also had a very hard time breathing, going into fetal position, grunting like a pig when it reached the top, then gasping for air when the seizure was about to fade out.

The jerks vere both repetetive, stretching and tightening. Both right shoulder, left arm and my right foot went stiff then shaking.

I had a cluster of 5 seizures like that. First one the strongest, then less and less strong. Then a pause for about 20 minutes then a cluster again.

My body is wasted... but I remember every bit of it. What on earth is going on...?

(PS: Also I have discovered I may have had a middle ear infection for abt 2 yrs without treatment. It's gotten a lot worse, that's about the same time as my seizures appeared. MR scans has proven inflammation in a set of "bones behind the ears". I'm having an appointment thursday about this. Finally.

:woot:
Any input? Thank you, Hugs Malla

Hi Malla --

I;m sorry you're having such a tough time. How quickly did you reduce your meds to a "maintenance" dose -- if the tapering occurs too quickly it can make you more vulnerable to seizures. It's also possible that your maintenance dose levels are just too low to help with seizure control, in which case you may need to consider upping them slightly. All things to discuss with your doc if you can.

It's unlikely that the middle ear infection would have been a primary cause of your seizures. But if you already have a lowered seizure threshold, infection can be a trigger. So having a chronic infection over the last 2 years certainly can't have helped, and may have made you more vulnerable. It will be good to get that cleared up.

Ty naka... ur always great help. i will highten dose slightly. hugs malla
