The great majority of people with BRE outgrow it in their teen years, but there may be a few that continue to have it into their early twenties.

the reason i ask is its one of the things that the dr mentioned and its what ive got to talk to the neurologist about so im a bit confused ... ive started keeping a diary of what happens and when
 
It's unusual for it to start in your twenties -- if that's the case, then it's probably not BRE.
