I have a blocked ear.

Only since yesterday, and it's not really fully blocked (only a little)

I want tips to unblock it or make it feel like there is less pressure there. It is not affecting me yet as far as hearing (I can hear fine), or at least.. I think I can

I just want to sort it before it does start affecting me loads

Have you tried taking a hot shower? The steam/heat may help "unplug" your ear--especially if wax is the reason for it.

Hi Gina,

I just got back from seeing a Ear Specialist for the same problem. After I had brain surgery on the right temporal lobe
my right ear gets blocked up often. What you need to do is get some ear drops and put 3-4 drops in your ear and lay
on your side for awhile and after after 2 days when you take a hot shower be sure to get a lot of hot water in the ear
and then you can clean them out and it should be okay. If that doesn't work you may have to see a Ear specialist like
I did and have them flush your ear out it doesn't hurt and it takes no time at all. Also put some hydrogen peroxide in
your ear and if you hear it bubbling and crackling then you have a small infection in your ear and the peroxide will help
get rid of it. This is what my Dr. made me do. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Sue

Same thing happened to me after surgery. I had it “flushed” out at the hospital.
We use to do the same thing to my son when he was an infant. Blasting water with a syringe in your ear.
Hopefully the drops will work at home.

Good luck

These are all great suggestions... thank you all!

(is it bad that I now use this forum as my first port of call for a question I have. lol)
