Hi all,

My awesome epilepsy nurse asked GP to send me for a number of blood tests.

Have come back as low for B12, Folate and D. Going to have to have 3 B12 jabs a week (mon, wed, fri) for a fortnight and then monthly.

Just wondered if anyone has had the B12 jabs and what to expect.

Once they have sorted out the B12 is sorted they will sort the other deficiencies with supliments.

I tested low in B-12 also when my GP was doing routine blood tests in conjunction with treating my thyroid disease. She gave me a horse-size syringe of B-12 and told me to take a supplement 2000mcg a day. My next test about 6 months later said I was in good range, but I'm diligent not to miss a dose. Actually I couldn't find a 2000mcg dose so I'm taking a 2500mcg sub-lingual (under the tongue) daily.

I'm sure it makes me feel better. I forgot to take it about 5 or so days and could really feel the difference.
