Has anyone been so bored and couldn't think of anything to do? :ponder: Sometimes I that bored. Sometimes all I do is sleep or stay on the computer. :noevil: Just wondering does anyone get that bored? Sometimes I don't do anything cause I can't think of anything to do. I have had people ask me if anything was wrong, cause I don't do anyting. Sometimes I just stay in the house. Some people say I live a boring life. Is there anyone else out there that lives a life like mine?

I used to be bored like that. Now that I've got more things to do my problem was falling out of old habits from when I was bored. An example is that when I got home I automatically went to the computer when I meant to read more schoolwork or do something else.

Be careful of falling into too much of a routine like I did.

I only get that way when the power goes out during a thunderstorm. I'm cut off from the computer/internet and can't go outside. It's OK for short periods of time, but if it lasts for hours, it's torture. I usually just take a nap when there isn't much to do.

I'm the same way.........

But when I get REALLY bored, I go for a walk..............

Clean out the closets when you are bored. You find all kinds of wierd things and accomplish a nasty job to boot!

Make a list of things you could or should do, when you are feeling good about life.
Then when you are bored, you can look at your list and chose one thing.

Or... try to learn one new thing a day.

Hi Hawke,

Do you like to read a good book? Maybe you could go to the library. It is cool in there also. I love the library!! Take a walk or swim if you can. Or what about cooking?Make something new. Try to learn a new craft or project. What about a model car/plane? Or puzzles? Try to make a new friend in your town or neighborhood. Just think of all the things you can do.. Pick one and get into it! My nephew loves stamp collecting as a fun project. Let your mind wander..I bet you can think of a few ideas!! Let us know what you pick, o.k.? Hope you have a great day!

Michelle,
The only book I read is the Bible. I don't have a hobby. I can't build models cause I'm legally blind. I have very bad eye sight. There is no library near where I live. I just talk to some of my neighbors. Sometimes my eye sight goes out completely. It's still very hot where I live. I have to walk every where I go, unless I ride the bus or I'm with my family. My doctor won't let me drive. The last time I drove was over ten years ago. How have you been doing? How was your day? I haven't slept very much lately. Talk to you soon.

I'm very BORED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Instead of sitting around all day feeling sorry for yourself, get out of the house and do some volunteer work.

Take a walk, get a pet and train it, grow a garden. STOP focusing on what is wrong with you. FIND the good in yourself and share it with others.

Even the autistic girl next door to me is productive!

Come on guy, I've never driven & yet I always go out & live independently. I've even lived in the bush outside of a small town where there's no public transportation & I always got around. I've also got all sorts of things "wrong" with me but that's how & who I am so I compensate anyway possible. I'm not saying that when I'm late going somewhere I never wished I could drive but not driving is just another part of who I am. How you treat it is what determines how much it disables you.

Books...

Most libraries provide a service where they do audio books, maybe that would help. My eyesight is getting worse (partly due to my meds and I can't afford my new glasses yet), and i sometimes use this service when my eyes are particularly bad. I copuldn't live without books,my craft etc.i go for walks in my local country park with the kids on bug hunts etc, doing leaf rubbings...its great,i get to be a kid again, you should try it...armed with a pack of crayons and some paper, its great fun...
