My son (14 yo - Rolandic Epilepsy) said that his lip started to feel numb as he was falling asleep last night (classic seizure activity for him). However, he is still having numbness today. This is new. Has anyone experienced lingering numbness (he can feel it if you touch it - just says it feels funny) in their lip following a seizure?

If it continues you need to make an appointment for your son. The doctor will probably order some tests.
 
Figured it out

We thought it was seizure related based on the fact that there was numbness in his lip, happened right as he was falling asleep...

Turns out it that it's allergy related. He ate a handful of cheesecake bites that his grandma bought for him. They contained trace amounts of peanuts and almonds. We just discovered it upon setting the table for dinner.

So no more cheesecake bites for him:-)
