I'm wearing two layers of just about everything. This weather is insane. It's still only -5 F. I mean, come on...give us a break

I think that Robin and Brain are here on this forum just to tease all us coldies with their hot weather!!!!!! :roflmao:

It is also still BRRRRRRRRRRRRR in the UK :o( but not quite down to Buckeyes temperatures. Just to prove it, I only have 2 pairs of socks on today.

^^ No wonder yer cold - go and get some clothes on !! :roflmao:

We're at about 7 degrees Today, and looking forward to some heavy showers with blustery gales tomorrow !!!......come on Sharon - tug on the rope, we could become ENGLORIDA

good catch TT, missed that one.

70º outside here today, but inside my stucco house it stays very cool. I have to wear a pair of socks too, but I also layer to stay warm.

I really do feel sorry for you folks in freezing weather. Having been in Jackson Hole, Wyoming once in -12º I do know what it feels like.

You do know though, they designed the freezer to preserve meat. I think you are adding many years to your lives by being frozen for a bit each year.

Ahhhh TT's but - I didn't tell you how big the socks are :pfft:

Though I must say, you are quite the gentleman

Sharon might not need to tug as hard with the 70mph winds we are supposed to be receiving, if us UK'ers get a sail made we can aid the transition to warmer climes, TT's get your sewing basket out.

Now just a minute here ....

Excusssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!??????

*Ahem*

I am here freakin' friggin' freezin'!
And I have to stay up all night to
make sure my poor Mango Tree does
NOT FREEZE to death - again and
same goes tomorrow night!

:(

Well a bit of tugging will keep you warm then, won't it :roflmao:

Plus by the time we all get there the weather would have changed back to steaming again anyway.:pfft:

So come on, I can still see Holland from my house, I expect it to be a small dot on the horizon by the morning.

Umm no thank you, I'll wait for the Tulips!

;)

well while Holland is so close, I will grab you some and bring them with me
:flowers:

On the news today

They said that Whitehorse (up in the Yukon) was warmer than Florida.

Guess who I thought of Brain?

hee hee hee -- We're going to hit 40 here in Missouri this afternoon. A HEAT WAVE !!!

I was thinking the same thing about the 20 degree high we'll be having today in Ohio. Right now it's still below zero :(

Thanks Eric, you've made my day

I would just like to point out that currently the temperature here in Norwich, UK is a soaring 48F with bright sunshine. I think it is a sunhat and cream day today:pfft:

what the

heck? I am trapped in the deep freeze? It's barely above 0 with the wind chill here.

We hit -10F last night. WooHoo, 5 degrees warmer than the night before.

Supposed to reach 20 today with a little snow. Pretty typical here. After a cold spell, the warm air from the south brings moisture with it, and snow.

Brain, you should have a Buckeye tree. They do just fine in this weather, along with my 2 oaks, 2 hickory, 3 apples, 2 locust, 1 pear, 1 dogwood, 2 crabapples, 1 ash and 1 maple trees.

In case you couldn't tell, I love my trees.

I remember

The droughts and the grey water usage and general water rationing when I was growing up in California.
Grey water, in case it is no longer in fashion, is the water saved from your washing machine to be used to flush the commode, and to water the lawn.
Some people even painted their lawns green to make it look like they grey watered it.
We relied on juices to get our hydration. Cooking and bathing was the only time we used fresh water. (We kids were willing to give up the bath to save water, but that didn't work.)

In Texas, we are facing another drought in another year. We are not facing any rationing, yet. The fire danger is real, and the rate that smokers throw their butts out the window is unbelievable. :paperbag: (They don't want to get their cars dirty.)
:ponder:

Oh wow- its is cold here today but not anywhere near some of those temps! 33 yesterday and 36 today...That is plenty cold enough to keep me inside!! Hehe

:pfft: :pfft:

That is so unfair. I was watching American Idol last night - in Phoenix......with people sweltering HOT in the queues ?!?.....

....I wanna move !

Why not rub it in some more will ya? ::: sulks :::

Oh be quite (censored)!

:pfft:

Another night of this blasted @%^#@$##@!!!!!!
And THEN we will "thaw" out for a moment...
GEESH!

(Please no rolling black-outs tonight - begging!)

Ohio, at least in NW, had a heatwave---27 degrees !:woot:

I am waiting impatiently for spring and summer...and seeing green grass again:)

In PA it's incredibly cold also. I have been wearing multple layers of clothing. This afternoon, I baked something to warm up my kitchen and stay warm.
