Hi.

A While ago on july 4th i ended up at the ER. A county ER that gave me lamictal for free.

I found a great neurologist who has kept me on this and increased and a good rate and my seizures have been 99% under control.

However, my lamictal I got free from the county hospital (which is a 1 off thing) is about to run out.

I did some research for online pharmacies for generic and the cheapest I could find as I take 2x200mg a day was $170

This is still unaffordable each month.

I am very worried and upset. I even looked up depokote generic which is going to be expensive. I found target does generic tegratol for $10 but I dont know if this is any good or will work for me.

Does anyone know some good medications that are cheap for complex partial seizures and simple partial seizures in the temporal lobe.

Please help me, Im very scared.

Generic drugs for seizures are really not recommended. You will find some people on here that can take them, but for the majority of us, it is a problem. I take Keppra and had problems with the generics. There is a link on here about contacting drug makers. There are companies that have a program to provide your drugs when you cannot afford them.

let your doc know you can't afford the meds.
You might be able to get them from the drug companies for free.

If you have a local E foundation, contact them for some help. If they can't help you, they can put you in contact with the pharmecutical compay as many of them have programs to help people who can't afford their meds.
