Hi Tina, My daughter has only had seizures during the day as far as we know. All of her seizures have been on her period. (4-5 in 10 years (on carbamazapine) and now since may 2011(on new med lamitrogine) has had 7!!!! All on her period except the last one which was last night! We started her on bioidentical progesterone since her periods seemed so messed up 8 days ago. (in a 6 week time frame she had her period every other week and had a seizure on each period) My family dr just called at 10:30, tonight and talked to us about my daughter going on valproic acid as well as the lamitrogine. Has anyone done this and what are your side effects. Please let me know. Diane
 
dianeparente, you dont know your having them in your sleep well i have no recognition of them, i only know because am confused achin n my tounge is bruised or my dad has witnessed it, its quite scary because you dont wake up for it.
 
Hi c.c., it is my 25 year old daughter who has the seizures. As far as we know she has had her seizures in the day.
 
im 26 and get mine on a night only its scary aint it? does she get them ay a certain time of the month? or are thry just random?
 
Hi C.C.Yes they are scary! Someone has been with my daughter every time except for one last december when she was driving. She had a terrible accident but everyone involved was ok! She misses driving again but there's no choice.
 
She has had 12 since she was 15 and all but the last one this week was during her period! She only had 4/5 in 10 years, when she was 15-25 and since changing her meds last april 2011 she has had 7..grand mals/tonic clonic.
 
Well i think im gettin mine on tym of month but i dnt think mine is epilepsy tbh im gonna get thru this and so will ur daughter.
