I'm currently in hospital due to my seizures being completely out of control.

They were trying epilim on me through a drip (even though this med was the first one I was put on and it didn't work for me). Then they switched to epilim orally 500mg x3 to add to a dose of 10mg frisium bd and 400mg zebinix nocte then added 25mg zonegran bd.

Anyway, this morning about an hour ago I went into a catatonic state. I couldn't move, speak etc but I could hear EVERYTHING around me. When I came out of it I was shaken up and talked to the two other women on my ward that were awake and told them what I heard as I wanted to check I wasn't dreaming. Anyway they told me that everything I said was word for word correct and they just thought I was sleeping.

This was really scary and has really shaken me up,has anyone experienced this?

I'm sorry you're having such a tough time of it Helen. What you described sounds like it could be another kind of seizure. Have you any idea how long it lasted for? You should definitely bring it up with your doc.

I agree with Lou, let your doctors know what you were experiencing. Some or all of the meds they are throwing at you may be making things worse, and they need to know that.

My docs just called round and they said it sounds like a form of sleep paralysis...though tbh I wouldn't trust my docs as far as I could throw them.
