i have been on regular lamictal 1000mgs for about 10 yrs only med that has been consistent, but its giving me uncontrollable dizziness and nausea along with vomiting.my concern is he wants to switch me to time release well thats all fine and dandy but i have been on this med forever and we just had a real rocky end with keppra.but he told me its really not that different from regular lamictal. anybody with insights?

In theory it shouldn't be and different -- same med, just released slowly into your system over 12 to 15 hours. If your metabolism is very slow or very fast you might need to adjust when you take it, just to make sure there's a little overlap (but not too much) between doses.
