May I say, that seizures are so varied and vast in their causes, that chiropractic care could be just the answer for some. Self care is important for everyone especially those dealing with medical issues

I tried a chiropractor once and he said he wanted to try craniosacral therapy but with a chiropractic swing to it. He started pushing at joints in my jaw until tears sprang to my eyes.
Osteopathy was nice! Was very soothing and relaxing.
I think that I would try craniosacral therapy again because I've heard it's NOT supposed to hurt.
I'm hesitant to see a chiropractor again but others have really had success!
Massages are a trigger for me, go figure. I must have some nerve issues or something.

Good luck and be clear in what you are willing to let the chiropractor do! I'll be interested in hearing back from you if you do get some relief from it.

I hope a chiropractor hasn't told you that s/he can cure epilepsy. There have been claims of the practice curing numerous illnesses (excluding back pain) that have been proven untrue or could not be proven.

A 2008 critical review found that with the possible exception of back pain, chiropractic manipulation has not been shown to be effective for any medical condition.[16] Health claims made by chiropractors regarding use of manipulation for pediatric health conditions are supported by only low levels of scientific evidence[105][131] that does not demonstrate clinically relevant benefits.[132]

A 2012 systematic review found insufficient low bias evidence to support the use of spinal manipulation as a therapy for the treatment of hypertension.[157] A systematic review in 2011 found moderate evidence to support the use of manual therapy for cervicogenic dizziness.[158] There is very weak evidence for chiropractic care for adult scoliosis (curved or rotated spine)[159] and no scientific data for idiopathic adolescent scoliosis.[160] A 2007 systematic review found that few studies of chiropractic care for nonmusculoskeletal conditions are available, and they are typically not of high quality; it also found that the entire clinical encounter of chiropractic care (as opposed to just SM) provides benefit to patients with cervicogenic dizziness, and that the evidence from reviews is negative, or too weak to draw conclusions, for a wide variety of other nonmusculoskeletal conditions, including ADHD/learning disabilities, dizziness, high blood pressure, and vision conditions.[161] Other reviews have found no evidence of significant benefit for asthma,[162] baby colic,[131][163] bedwetting,[164] carpal tunnel syndrome,[165] fibromyalgia,[166] gastrointestinal disorders,[167] kinetic imbalance due to suboccipital strain (KISS) in infants,[131][168] menstrual cramps,[169] or pelvic and back pain during pregnancy.[170]

I started seeing a chiropractor about 6 months ago because I have very bad problems with my back. It's helped alot with my back but I'm still having the same ammount of seizures as I did before I started seeing him.

I have about 5-8 seizures a month. I found out that I have this huge muscle spasm in my neck and this muscle spasm is in the exact spot that has been triggering most of my seizures. It's like swelling in my neck that has been pinching on a nerve.

I just started seeing this chiropractor about 3 weeks ago. So far I've had 2 seizures since he's been treating me. I've got like one and a half week until a month pasts. That would be a major improvement for me if I have less than 3 seizures this coming week. Crossing my fingers.

I think choropractic care clears up the communication between the brain to the spine. All I know is that when he cracks my neck I feel like this flow of oxygen or energy to my brain. Hopefully this works out. I wonder if chiropractic care can help others with epilepsy. I'm not recommending it because I'm not a doctor but maybe that's something to ask a doctor.
