So my daughter, Carly, has had her Keppra dose increased due to two recent TC's and today her neuro prescribed Clobazam for the intense dizzy/confused spells she's had recently, because she thinks they may be a prelude to full on TC's.
Keppra is now 100mg am & 1250mgs pm - increasing over the course of the next two weeks.
Clobazam 10mgs when required but not more than one a day.

I see what she is saying, that she takes the Clobazam when she's had a partial to try and stop a TC following in the days after. She's reluctant to take it because she doesn't want to be 'zoinked out' but of course she'll do what's advised in the event of a partial.

So - does anyone here take Clobazam for partials, does it work in preventing a near future TC and finally, does it knock you for six tiredness wise?

Thanks for reading, you've all been such a great help to us 'newbies' to the condition.

I started clobazam about 3 weeks ago, but i've found it definitely helps with my partials. I take 10mg a day. It hasn't eradicated them completely, but am hoping when my keppra and topamax changes, it will be better. There's definitely a big difference.

Side effect wise - it's not as bad as i thought. I'm more sleepy than before but that's nothing new, and dizziness/unsteadiness can be a bit of a problem, but again i'm like that anyway lol, it's just exacerbated things a little.

Of course everyone experiences side effects differently. Good luck with it, i hope it works for her.

Thank you Loopy Lou and I hope when your meds change you see positive results all round. Keep us posted of course and good luck with the changeover.
