My seizures usually involve pressure in my head, my movement being slowed, feeling like I'm drunk, being tired afterward, etc.

Last night, I had 4 seizures all within an hour. Everytime, I would involuntarily gasp, then the head pressure would start. During the episodes (which lasted about 3 minutes each) my emotions were very messed up. My husband and I were sitting on the couch and I had my hand resting on his leg and I dug my nails into him like I was in a panic. I yelped a few times and I cried twice. I kept feeling like the seizures weren't going to end and I was saying "awww..." over and over the entire time. I couldn't sleep afterwards and I was panicky. Had to take a dose and a half of my sleep meds to fall asleep. This is a completely different type of seizure than what I'm used to...

I posted several days ago about my memory declining rapidly in the past few months, and I remember that all day before the seizures yesterday, my memory was even worse... if that has any connection, I don't know.

Any thoughts?

Hi, Stephanie. If I haven't said it yet, welcome!

My thought is that you need to call your doc right away and tell him/her about the change in your seizures. He/she will figure out if they are a continuation of your epilepsy, and rule out anything else. The rapidly declining memory and head pain is a little concerning. At the very least your meds may need adjusting.

I'm hoping you feel better soon.

I agree with Endless. If the seizures are increasing/changing then you need to tell the dr. It could be the medication needs adjusting or a change in seizure activity and change in medication. Sometimes seizures change as time goes on. As seizures increase, it can play havoc on one's memory, as can anti-seizure medication.

Sounds like ramped up seizure activity in areas of the brain near hippocampus. It's important to find out why this change has occurred and how to treat it, so see your doc ASAP.

Alright guys, I'm calling my doc. Thanks so much and I'll let you know what happens later.
