O.K. now that I know I'm definitely having Complex Partial Seizures (thought they were simple partials) I have a question. I've been having 4-5 a week (only in my sleep) since June. I can sometimes go 3 nights in a row without them, but that's about it and once in a blue moon I'll take 2 in one night.
I'm contemplating taking the med (Tegretol XR) but I would really like to hold off since we're trying to get pregnant. My husband is starting to have a change of heart in regards to this med free stuff and thinks maybe it's time for meds and I figured I would throw it out here to see what you all think. I was hoping to be pregnant now and at least for the 1st trimester be free of meds, but I'm sort of torn at this point since 4-5 a week seems excessive?
Although I've been dealing with it and don't even know that I'm having them until the am when my husband tells me and during the day I'm fine, so it's hard for me to accept taking the Teg since the seizures are really not interferring with my daily life. Perhaps having the TC's prior to surgery has made these CP's insignificant, so I'm a bit biased in my decision making in regards to the severity of having 4-5 CP's a week? So, I figured I would ask you all. Thanks. Oh, keep in mind I'm trying to get pregnant ; ) I say that because when I talk to my husband about it I can tell them what you all think too.
