Im new to talking to anyone about convulsion disorder. So I would greatly appreciate any feedback. I had my first seizure in 2010 and then things got worse. I have had 2 EEGs, video EEG, MRI, CT scan and tons of blood work. Before the seizure started I was treated with anti depressants and anti psychotic drugs, which seemed to make things worse. The majority of doctors I worked with have been up in the air with what is causing the convulsions and why nothing seems to work well. I have had some success with Keppra XR but not a great improvement. The psychological drugs were cut out because they were actually affecting my seizure threshold and ended up being a cause of the problem. So currently I am trying to cut off Valium slowly, which is pretty vicious on my mind and body. These problems are started out of the blue at the age of 16, and were diagnosed as depression, which ended up being changed when the episodes turned into seizures. That is some of my story, sorry it is so long. Thanks to everyone who posts experiences and can give me feedback. It means alot to me, knowing other people can relate.
