There is a clinical study being done by "Prosper" to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication for the treatment of partial epilepsy.

The study is currently seeking participants who have partial epilepsy and are still experiencing seizures, even with the use of up to three antiepilepsy medications.

The purpose of the study is to determine the safety, effectiveness, and tolerability of an investigational medication to see if it may control seizures. The study will look at an investigational medication that people can take in addition to their current medications for epilepsy.

Study participants will receive at no cost:

•Monitoring of their epilepsy
•Direct access to study doctors or nurses who will answer questions and concerns
•Study-related physical exams
•Blood work and other laboratory services
•Investigational medication or placebo (an inactive "look-alike" pill)

Study participants will be asked to:

•Attend up to 9 study visits during a 23–35-week period
•Take the investigational medication or placebo (an inactive "look-alike" pill) each day for up to 23 weeks
•Keep a diary about seizures

These folks have recently become a sponsor of CWE. You may have noticed a banner ad for this study at the top of the page.

Hey Bernard,

I noticed the banner, but I don't care to be a part of any study again.
