Could this have been a sleep seizure?

I don't know if I've ever had seizures in my sleep before. My husband and I sleep in different rooms because he snores too bad so he wouldn't know if I was having them.

Last night I found out that I had sent 3 text messages, with a 4th on it's way, to a guy between 4 and 6 in the morning. All they were was letters, like plplamp, not actual words. He sent me one in the morning around 7 wanting to know who sent him the messages, that's how I found out I'd sent them.

In order to have sent the messages I had to take the cover off my phone, turn the phone on, go into the text message part, select this guy's number, type the letters, send it, then put the cover back on. If I don't do anything on my phone for about a minute the phone turns off on it's own. When I woke up this morning the phone was turned off, the cover was on but the text message screen on my cell was open with a text started.

I know when I have seizures I like to play with things, especially my cell phone. My husband always has to take it off of me because I just want to push the buttons.

Does this sound like I could have been having seizures in my sleep last night?

It could've been a partial seizure, maybe complex partial.
Have you still got the text messages you sent on your phone, if so it might not be a bad idea to show your neurologist when you see him next.

Before my surgery I used to do weird things in my sleep, I used to get up & start taking things out of the wardrobe or move things. I'd wake up & find clothes on my bed or items on the bedroom floor which weren't there the night before. I had no memory of it & as I live alone there was no one else to blame. My local neurologist told me I was sleep walking but I disagreed so I asked the epiologist I saw when surgery came up & he said he was certain it was seizures.

I really love to play with my phone during seizures. My husband will try to take it off of me but I just won't give it up. This is the first time I've ever called/texted anyone though.

I've done a lot of thing like that when I've been awake (if you call it that?) during seizures. I've found dishes laying in the dishwasher instead of stacked as they should be. I've had things sitting on the counters in the kitchen that shouldn't be there. I must like to rearrange the kitchen when I have them?

The best was recently though. The normal morning for me is take my meds, put on my robe, feed the cats then go to the bathroom. I woke up that morning laying on the couch in my robe with my pants half way down. Just hope I wiped!!!!!!

I've got the messages saved on my phone and I'm going to show him. I felt so bad that I was texting this guy all night, he said he didn't hear the phone go off once though. I told him he was more than welcome to text me all night to return the favor though.

does your computer have webcam? I started using it and I noticed I have night seizures. plus you can show them to your doctor

No it doesn't. If this had happened more than this I would have found so way to video myself. As far as I know it's the first time it's happened while I was asleep.

I've been under a ton of stress these last few months so I don't know if that could have added to it or not.

Small world....seeing your post, makes me not feel so weird anymore.

I once came to from a complex seizure and found myself on the phone talking to my mother, but don't remember picking up the phone, dialing her number and starting a conversation. I had to ask her what I was talking about and how did I sound.

I'm usually drenched in sweat when I have an unconscious complex seizure, but this incident with the phone I wasn't sweaty or had sore muscles, so I think the whole seizure was just me picking up the phone and calling my mother.
