I just got a call from my sister and my dad is in the hospital. He was dehydrated and not doing well. I guess we will be making a trip up North this weekend to see him. I keep getting different reports about the cancer. My sister told me that it is definitely in his bones and they thought his chemo was going to be localized but it is not. His lady friend is worried about his immunity so the kids will not be going. Please keep him in your prayers.

Hi Again!

Laura,

SO sorry to hear about your Dad. I am glad you are going up this weekend.
I am sure he will be happy to see you. I will be thinking of you and your family and of course your Dad. He is in my prayers.Maybe you will get a better idea if you could speak to his Drs. at the hospital. You know I understand, and my heart goes out to you! Have a safe trip.
God Bless!
Michelle

I will be praying!1

Laura, We all here will be praying for him and your family. It makes it that more stressful when a loved is sick. Please take care of yourselves and know we are all thinking about you and your family!

Thank you everyone. We had some car troubles and could not go today. Hopefully we have fixed the problem and will be able to go tomorrow.

I wish you a safe trip and a wonderful visit when you do arrive.
It is a much needed time with your dad, and one that I hope you remember as very special.
You are in my thoughts.

Dad is doing better

We had a very nice visit with my dad today. Hopefully he will be coming home on Tuesday. He was in very good spirits. He had some problems with his blood sugar where all he could see was white and the next day had blurry vision. They have that under control now. His kidneys are only functioning at 50% right now and the doctor does not have any answers why his kidneys are damaged now. It sure was different seeing him with his head shaved. We're going up next weekend hopefully, he wants to go to his camper and have us stay at the campsite. There was a little disagreement about this with his lady friend and I just said that we will plan on it. I know his friend, Sharon, is very concerned about his immunity but I told my sister if that's what he wants, we'll plan on it. I think it is important to do things with him that he wants to do so everyone will have wonderful memories.

Thank you everyone for your prayers and support, it means so very much to me.

So glad to hear..

I am so glad you were able to visit with your Dad and have a nice visit. It is so important to share this time and especially since he is happy and doing well right now. I agree that you should do things that he wants to do. And enjoy your time together. You're all still in my prayers!

Michelle

Still with you

I am glad you had a positive visit with your Dad. Unfortunately, we never know which visit will be our last with anyone, so it is always great to make the best of them.

The last time I saw my Dad was the evening before he passed away. He had stopped to see me because I had a knee injury. My last image of him was holding my granddaughter (his first great grandchild) before he left and that is one I will treasure forever.

Follow your feelings and go with your Dad. You won't regret it.

:e: May God rest his healing hands upon him. :e:
