Recently uped the doze and i did it fine for few days then yesterday i forgot to take my meds.

ANd also i wanna say maybe it's cause the meds are making me really sleepy.
They're throwing me off.,,i forget to do things.

It happens sometimes. You've been around the forums long enough now that I'm sure you've read many of the good ideas people here use to help themselves remember. Think of things you have, both technical (cell phone, watch with an alarm, etc.) and non-technical (writing on sticky notes), and post your ideas here. I'm sure there are folks around who would give you feedback or tips.

my meds make sleepy some time but I take them and If I miss 2 doses bam I'll seize.
Have you thought about a pill box I have weekly pill box.Would you rather be a little sleepy or seize?

I always keep medicine with me and keep my cell phone alarm on. I still sometimes forget. They make me sleepy, too. Just make sure you take them ASAP when you remember and adjust your dosage back properly. If they make you sleepy, taking two doses too close together will make you real sleepy for a little bit. It may be a problem for you, but it may not. That is for you to decide.

Wow! I wish my meds made me sleepy. I have the opposite problem. I wake up almost every hour on the hour. I'm taking 750 mg. generic Keppra in am and 250 in the pm.
Luckily this works very well for me. Guess I shouldn't complain!

I have found that the cell phone does not work for me.... A watch does work for me however Timex has a ladies watch that has 3 alarms on it in fact not much to look at its digital but it is fairly small and it does come in a few color options its in their iron man series it costs around $49.00 US. battery life is good I have had mine for the last 4 years now and my strap just broke you can get a replacement strap through timex on the internet as well. But the easy option is to just get a new watch I think by the way my original battery is still good after 4 years.... hows that for quality. I also have an AM/PM pill box that travels with me at all times it is a 7 day w week one that I fill up once a week you can get them for 3 or 4 times a day as well I think at the pharmacy. Get one of those it will simpifly your life greatly.

thanks for your answers. let me think something.

Maybe i should write it on the back of my hand with a sharpie. How's that idea?

Cellphones are annoying for me . Cellphones and technology. so i dont want to use those as reminders.

Here is another one I just heard from a neighbor who regularly takes medication. She takes medication 3 times per day. At the beginning of each day she puts three different colored bands around her wrist: one to represent the AM dose, one the afternoon dose and one the bedtime dose. After she takes each dose she removes the corresponding band. Might save writing on your hand!

I have an actual alarm clock set in the morning to make sure I wake up to take my AM dosages. My afternoon dose and pm dose are set on my cell.

There are alarm clocks that have more than one alarm on them. I don't know how many times you take your meds a day but you could maybe look into getting one of them.

I keep all of my pills in a week long pill case. I have one for my AM and one for my PM. I keep them in separate rooms to make sure I don't grab the pills out of the wrong case and take them by accident. I also keep a daily pill case on me when I go out just to make sure I have my meds on me incase I won't be home to take them.

If there are things that I need to do during a day I write them down on a list and check them off as they get done. I have to do this with my grocery list too or I'll walk out of the store with out something that was on the list.

I also use a pill box, the 1 i have is 7 individual AM/PM cotainers which sit on a little tray
Its handy because if i am ever away i just take the ones i need.
I also have a little alarm clock/ pill box. The alarm clock has 4 different alarms you can set to go of at different times & on the back is the pill box which has 4 compartments.

I usually take my meds with my breakfast & dinner but I have the alarm set to go of 7am & 7 pm just in case i forget.

I've got an AM/PM organizer as well, and have a little reminder (manual - I have a little vase I move east or west (one side of the sink or the other) indicating if I need to take my next dose in the AM or PM. So far so good...
