Hi

I am needing to get some dental work done, and am wondering if there is anything special I need to know regarding having a VNS. Has anyone every had this done.

Thanks\
Diana

Hi Diana --

I don't have a VNS, but for what it’s worth:

I strongly recommend that you put your dentist in touch with your neurologist to make sure they are on the same page. It is their responsibility to make sure your dental visit is a safe and comfortable one.

Information about dental protocol with VNS can be found here: https://www.stephenhancocks.com/download.php?op=view_article&article_id=1496 Page 8 in the report (attached) shows the specific recommendations.
