It just occurred to me that I have had "Scooby" for 2 months now and I haven't mentioned him on here!! Scooby looks like a motorbike that was dropped on his head at birth, but he's actually an electric bicycle with the body of a motorbike/moped. He has a 200ww motor which is just under the threshold of requiring a driver's license. He only goes 35kmph (unless I have a tailwind and I'm going downhill=) but he's given me my freedom and independence back, at least for local trips. I paid $1600 for Scooby and bought him from allroundscooters.com.au. Check it out! There are heaps of companies that make them and its a great idea for people who can't drive. I've yet to ride to the nearest train station to see if its feasible, but here is my list of happiness!

I've got a job!! Beforehand, my nearest bus stop was 30mins cycling away and the nearest shops where employment was likely was the same. Considering its been bucketing it down here for weeks and we have 40 degree summers, turning up to work drenched in rain or sweat wasn't an attractive option. Now I can arrive looking presentable and get to work within 15mins =)

I can get to my mum and dad's in 20mins, my brother's place in 10mins and to and from the shops in 15mins.

I wonder if we could juice it up a bit and get 40kmph?? lol

Scooby sounds like a ton of fun. Grats on the freedom!

Sounds great! I hope you are wearing a helmet when you are tooling around... :)

How fun! I've always wanted to try out one of those. I need to see what the Texas laws are, I bet my oldest would love one. :)

Sounds awesome that you finally get to go around places now and not have to worry about catching rides.

job, transport! Congratulations...

You on the move girl! Nice!!

Keeping Scooby in my back pocket (ya never know) for my Son :)
