I am still kinda buzzing along sometimes with my simple partials Had a few today
But lately I've been experiencing some strange symptoms as well
I've always told my Dr even when on meds that sometimes the Left side of my brain feels like it isn't working , no pain , headache ect. Just looking out my eye
on that side doesn't register.
Lately It can go pins and needles to numb and it's behind the left eye on the left side of my brain , also my left leg Only between the knee and ankle is numb
the foot is fine. At first I thought I was having a stroke , but realized I've had this many, many times over the years.Just painlessly
There is a type of Migraine which came up when I googled called Hemi-plegic.
So I'm going to look into that more.
I do have some weakness for a day or so after
Also during the above spell it was difficult for me to look straight across at the horizon I had to look down at the road to walk , It felt weird but I walked fine other wise.

I also lately had several dreams where I think I'm chocking in them and I have realized that I am feeling like a tight tie around my neck and if I lay flat something feels my throat closes due to gravity.
I think they are both 2 separate things.
Anyone have these symptoms?

that sound uncomfortable.....
the only thing I can say that may ease your mind a little is that the left side of your brain controls the right side of your body.....so the feeling in the left eye and brain would have nothing to do with your left leg.

My thought is that you may have more than one thing going on. The eye stuff could be a seizure, a migraine, a side effect of your meds, or something else like a TIA (mini-stroke). Think about calling your neurologist and telling him you've got all this going on.

I get a couple of things that are probably different than your stuff, but maybe not. Sometimes my eyes get extra blurry on the left side, and even with reading glasses I can't read or watch tv out of that eye. Sometimes my brain buzzes like electricity. Sometimes my brain feels numb on the right hand side, like it isn't there. I know that's crazy because brains don't feel sensations.

The choking sensation could be from an aura (simple partial seizure). Gastric Rising is a common in people with TLE. It feels like your stomach is rising up into your chest and throat. The choking feeling could be related to this.

You still need a work-up from your neurologist to rule out strokes. You can have mini-strokes (TIAs) and have some of the same symptoms you are experiencing, like numbness and tingling.

Will you let us know how you are feeling and what your doctor says?

If and When I ever get to a Dr, Chances are I'll probably Die first from the way it's looking.
I didn't think of the chocking feeling as a seizure , but yea it does come and go and not constant - So it may be
It's not apnea although worsens when you lay flat during an episode.
I take Asprin daily and my blood is actually more like water.
Have been on for 9 years now as Dr thought I was at high risk after accident.
Just had a physical in January last year , no problems except slight anemia which goes with menopause .EKG was good , a little low on the breathing test but I had just had the flu week before.
No meds other than Xanax and Vitamins and recently added Prilosec for heartburn
So if the left side controls the right than although I am experiencing symptoms
on the left the problems are on the right side of the brain?
My injury was lower right across mid to left temporal lobe caused by being t- boned in Drivers side (like a whiplash)

Sandi,

When you are t-boned from the left, your head usually hits the window (unless you have curtain side air bags), and then rebounds to the right. Your brain sloshes around in your skull and hits the right side of your skull. So the right side of your brain could be affected, too. It really takes a neurologist to sort all this out. He'll do a dozen tests they may or may not yield results. But based on your symptoms he'll make a good guess.

Another type of seizure that the throat thing could be... a simple partial where you feel things that aren't there. I have them - I feel a warm hand on my back but nobody is there.

Aspirin can irritate the stomach and thin the blood -- so if your stomach hurts and and your blood is thin as water, maybe you should ask your doctor about backing off on the daily aspirin. The Prilosec can help with the heartburn short term, but I would be wary of taking it long-term , as it can interfere with your gut functioning.

You could have acid reflux or a hiatal hernia, or as Endless says, the gastric irritation/choking sensation could be a seizure symptom.

I did think of Gerd which is why I added the prilosec.
I use enteric coated Asprin the best I can . They did a test for clotting ect when I had my physical .But I'm make sure I ask I will have to force myself to go to the clinic soon for Xanax But you sit all Day , I don't drive have no public transportation, and make just enough money to not qualify for any financial.
Yea my accident was akin to something on Nascar Races , The rear end was hit
and lifted and the car was Spun then hit 2 x more in the Drivers side Door- It was totalled Sheet metal was ripped of my 4 door Cutlass from rear quarter panel to the front end. Guess what I never looked till I got home as the cop wanted me to stay in the car! When I got home and looked I understood Why I couldn't keep it Driving Straight on the Road! I must have been in Shock cause I don't remember How I got home just that I did!
No Air Bags in the Side Curtain either!
Oh I was in accounting and did Taxes - I can barely ADD and Subtract Now
I was going to go back to school as a math major when I raised my kids

Thanks so much it's a easy helper!I'll try I'm also wearing abdominal support
so as not to lift something and strain , So far it's helping.I slept last night so important and no chocking feeling.
Fingers crossed , this will assist.

Oh did some more research , the Hemiplegic Migraines are not treated with migraine meds they are of no use , they are treated with seizure meds.
It was discussed with my other doctor that I could have he thought anecephalic migraines with aura's as they have NO PAIN!
