Has anyone ever taken Diovan HCT for high blood pressure and then their seizures start to act up? I was given this drug on 3 May 2011 and now I have been fighting the feeling of seizures for almost a week now. Help please!!!!!!!

I haven't taken it, but a quick search turns up seizures as a side effect of the fluid and electrolyte imbalance the Diovan can cause. The side effects are below:

Symptoms of fluid and electrolyte imbalance:
Confusion
convulsions (seizures)
dizziness or lightheadedness
diminished urine output
drowsiness or sluggishness
dry mouth
fast heartbeat
muscle cramps or pain
muscle fatigue
nausea and vomiting
restlessness
thirst
weakness

If any of this sounds like what you are experiencing, check with your doctor ASAP, and in the meantime make sure you are getting plenty to drink -- including something like Gatorade that is fortified with electrolytes.
