does anybody feel like the Epilepsy condition make them feel dislexic sometimes? Often when talking I say a word in a sentence first when it should be in the middle or at the end. Often I can't come up w/ simple words. For example when you hear a song and you can't remember who sang the song. I feel the way w/ just simple words or if I see an object or something and I forget the name of it. Just like today I was eating asparagus...and I couldn't remember the name of the vegetable. I kept thinking it was artichoke or avocado even though it wasn't.

Lol

I KNOW I feel that way sometimes........don't worry, you're not the only one who does this, darlin'......

It's not dyslexia. It's short term memory loss which seems to affect us all. I forgot the name of a very common surgical procedure (ramstedt's pylorotomy) and could only remember it after reading the related text again. It freaked me out. This word jumbling you speak of seems to affect many of us here. I think there's a related post somewhere here. It can sometimes happen if you are having an absence seizure. During an EEG the tech spotted some seizure activity and snapped "what's your name?" i had to think for a full five minutes to remember. Don't worry too much about it. If you seriously jumble your sentences , for eg , if you want to say " i like asparagus" but say "cheese doesn't smell" you need to be checked out. It's called "word salad" or schizophasia. but i doubt that's your problem.

Hope this helped,
Arvind
